Product Description

Wasabi Sock...King's Cloak. Superwash Merino, super soft with extra twist for socks. This yarn is very squishy where Enya is slinky. Subtle Ikat but almost a Dapple Solid. The Tudor Series: Colors: Purples that are made up of blues, magentas, and wines. Appears a little more vibrant and has a touch more magenta than the first batch but different bases do take the dyes differently. Not a perfect science but this one is close enough to still have the same name. Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view.

A warm red, pink and gold overdyed with red for a hot saucy red. Makes you want to eat spicy food and drink Blue Moon Beers!
It's a little HOT MAMA!  Pink and gold undertones are not showing up in this photo.A warm red, pink and gold overdyed with red for a hot saucy red. Makes you want to eat spicy food and drink Blue Moon Beers! It's a little HOT MAMA!  Pink and gold undertones are not showing up in this photo.

400 yards enough to make 1 pair of socks but this yarn works great for any next to the skin project. It has extra twist for socks but I love how it works for lace and tapestry weaving as well. You can use it for so much more than just socks.

100% Superwash Merino

For knitting socks I use 1-3 US size needle depending on gauge and stitch.

Lace 4-7 US needle depending on gauge and stitch. These are just estimates that I have used in the past, with socks I knit using a size 0, for Lace it is far more subjective to you project.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
