Tush....King's Cloak. 70/20/10 MCN base, soft as a babies bottom. This heavy fingering weight sock yarn is so soft and squooshy, spongy, springy, and super soft, did I mention soft. A wonderful base. Subtle Ikat dye technique almost a Dapple. The Tudor Series. Colors: In search of the perfect purple. This purple cloak was the most perfect shade of purple that I had ever seen. I love purples that are made up of blues, magentas, and wines. When you knit with this color it will be purple but up close you will see all of those tones that I hope make it rich and interesting. Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view. Also this base is in the sock category but people are using it for all sorts of knitting. On my monitor the full skein pic appears a little too blue please refer to the cropped photo so you can see the magentas and wines.

Lace: 3-8 depending on pattern.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water as this will minimize or stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.
