Splendore.....Ember.  A new base for the shop. This is a lovely fingering  weight in 100% Silk. It's a 2 ply and it really is special. Nothing takes dye like 100% Silk. It just glows and glows. Dapple Solid dye technique. The Tudor Series. We have 3 colors this update that are refering to the fires in the Tudors. Colors: This is a lovely copper with brown and coralish pink tones. Needs to be seen in real life. You know how I love my coppers. This is one of my all time favorites. Now I just need to find the perfect shawl to knit with this silk. Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is not a superwash yarn so handle with care. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
