It wears very well keeping those heels and toes looking great. Subtle Ikat dye technique. The Tudor Series. Lots of undertones, imagine Heretic Burn and Red Sumac together and I think you would have it. Colors: Rusts, browns, very subtle undertones of purple, fuschia, and greens. I see socks in my future with this one.
440 yards is enough for a standard adult pair of socks. It is designed for socks but it is soft enough for many different types of projects, lace, scarves, hats, gloves, whatever you want to design this yarn is versatile.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
It is superwash wool so you can machine wash but I prefer to hand wash all of my hand dyed yarns to prolong the life of the color.
Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.
All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
