Product Description

Raku Sock.....Bearded Iris. It takes dye very well, the hand is soft and the 4 ply is nice and round for great stitch definition. This yarn is a true sock yarn. It wears very well keeping those heels and toes looking great. Subtle Ikat dye technique. Dream Garden Series. Another beautiful Iris flower inspired skein. Seems like a hybrid of Salvia and King's Cloak to me. Funny how that can happen when your working on something and the yarn just becomes what it wants to be sometimes. Colors: Purples, blues, wines, and violets. I don't think I can get purple to be any richer or more saturated . I think I have maxed it out. :) Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view.

Remember Amara, she's back and just as squishy as ever.
Jane Seymour's gown and the Kings shirt. He wore peachy orange she wore a beautiful celadon greenish gold. Why "The Keeper", she was the one he didn't want to divorce or behead. Colors: Soft creams, butter golds, celadon green, and peaches. Dyed in watercolor technique. The Tudor Series.Jane Seymour's gown and the Kings shirt. Dyed in watercolor technique. Steel like blue with light teal accents with a touch of vilolet. I wanted it to have a heather like quality to it. It's very subtle but I love the result.
Well I thought I was doing another batch of Garden of Ireland but it didn't want to behave. Rebellious yarn. Ha!
Looks like Swoop or Turtle Island or Purple Rain all mixed together. Not exact for any of them but it love it. So it is a Happy Accident and that's fine with me. Care:

Handwash cool water, air dry flat.

It is superwash wool so you can machine wash but I prefer to hand wash all of my hand dyed yarns to prolong the life of the color.

Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
