Loading... Please wait...Pali Sport....Tangerine Dream. This yarn has the same qualities as the DK but in a sport weight. Very soft and it works well for all kinds of knitting. Subtle Ikat dye technique. Dream Garden Series: Inspired by a relatively new variety of Echinacea, 'Tangerine Dream', I want to grow these. Colors: Gold base overdyed with oranges, apricots, and pinks. I'm loving it, I usually don't do Oranges very much but this flower has it all and I was so enchanted by it that I had to go for it. Spring has sprung when I hold it in my hands I can only smile and feel the sunshine on my face. Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view.
What can you knit with sport? I love sport weight yarns, you can do socks, lace, gloves, sweaters, hats, just about anything you want with this versatile weight yarn.
Knitting gauge varies I use US 1.5 - 3 for this yarn for socks.
Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.
All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
