Product Description

Mini Mica....Sweet Lilac. This is a lovely fingering weight in Superwash Merino 50%/ Silk 50% blend. This yarn is really nice with a beautiful twist. The silk glimmers and glows and the fact that the merino is superwash makes this a high performance yarn. It's Micas little sister. Dream Garden Series: Dapple Solid dye technique. Another one that needs to be seen in real life. I have tweaked my Lilac recipe from the Southern Charm Series. I'm thrilled with my results and I now hope to repeat this color soon. The Mini Mica base really makes it so speical and I have to say this is the nicest Lilac color I have ever done IMHO. It's everything I wanted it to be. So glad I listened to myself and made it better. As always double click on the pics for the best color representation.

Dream Garden Series
This is inspired by a Sunflower called Moulin Rouge. I love that flower. I became obessed with trying to get the color. Colors:
Hot Pink base but let that scare you off, it was then over dyed in layers with rich browns and more pinks again and again. I don't know if I can repeat this one. Clearly I spend far too much time on this color but I do love the results. Think rich Chocolate covered cherries.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
