Mica DK....Queen's Corset. This is a lovely DK weight in Superwash Merino 50%/ Silk 50% blend. This yarn is really nice with a beautiful twist. The silk glimmers and glows and the fact that the merino is superwash makes this a high performance yarn. For a DK it's not as large has our Marrakesh which blooms like crazy but it does fall into the DK category. Watercolor dye technique. The Tudor Series. Colors: Now for something super soft and delicate. A soft mix of peach, coral, a touch of pink and cream and the lightest flesh taupe. Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view. Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
