Haiku Sport....Ritual. A new base for the shop. This is a lovely Sport weight in a fine Merino 70%/ Mulberry Silk 30% blend. This is a 4 ply blend with a nice round quality. It is a little heavier than our Pali sport. The silk glimmers and has a beautiful, soft sheen. This is the finest Mulberry silk out of Japan. I really like the hand of this yarn. Ikat dye technique. Colors: Soft grey blues, violets, browns, and soft purples. Please note this is not superwash merino.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is not superwash so it will felt if not handled with care. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
