Casablanca …..Peasant Girl… This yarn is a beautiful blend of Fine Merino and Mongolian Cashmere. A true luxury yarn. It has a nice twist and can be used for luxury socks as well as lace or any type of fine knitting with a beautiful heavy fingering weight. Subtle Ikat dye technique. The Tudor Series. Inspired by a painting of a Peasant Girl in the fields. These were the colors of her skirt and the greens in the field. Colors: Greens, teals, greys, blues, this base is really soft and it can take on a hearthered look with the softer colors. I used a watercolor technique first to get the sublte green tones then overdyed with the greys and blues. The colors blend nicely. Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view. Once again the full skein pic appears washed out. Please refer to the cropped photo so you can see the green and the vibrance of the teals.

For Lace needles range from 2-6 but depends on the knitter and their personal gauge. These are just suggestions.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is NOT superwash, it will felt if you machine wash it. Hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water as this will minimize or stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.
