Product Description

Amara....Dark Ring of Fire. Super soft 3 ply superwash merino. I love the way this yarn feels, so soft and spongy. Designed for socks but it can be used for so much more. A very versatile superwash merino yarn in a great fingering weight. Subtle Ikat dye technique. From the Tudor Series: This version is a little different the red is not as hot as the first batch done on Amara. The olive undertone is showing up a touch more. Colors: Rusty browns, orange base reds, olive green, specks of gold. We added "Dark" to the name because the reds are darker and not as hot. A difficult colorway to get exact, however, I think this is a very nice version of it.

Note: With all the pics the cropped detail shot gives the most accurate representation of the true color. Double click it for the best view.

Remember Amara, she's back and just as squishy as ever.
Jane Seymour's gown and the Kings shirt. He wore peachy orange she wore a beautiful celadon greenish gold. Why "The Keeper", she was the one he didn't want to divorce or behead. Colors: Soft creams, butter golds, celadon green, and peaches. Dyed in watercolor technique. The Tudor Series.Jane Seymour's gown and the Kings shirt. 440 yards
100 grams/3.53 0z.
3 ply Fingering Wt.
100% Superwash Merino

For knitting socks 1-3 US size needle depending on gauge and stitch.

440 yards is enough to make 1 pair of standard adult socks. Is it just for socks? No, you can use it for lace, mitts, gloves, hats, it's very soft and versatile. The 3 ply makes this yarn nice and round for great stitch definition to show off your cables and stitchwork.

Care:
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water as this will minimize or stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.

All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
