Enya Sock...Rusty Copper OOAK Superwash Merino, super soft with extra twist for socks. I love the way this yarn dyes. The extra twist makes the dyes sparkle like little beads. Dapple Solid dye technique. Colors: I can't believe I've never used these two words together. I adore Rusty Coppers. I was looking at a lovely old book that had this amazing copperish leather and I just had to try and dye it. I just love old rusty colored patinas. Sigh....
100 grams 3.53 oz. aprox.
2 ply Fingering Wt.
100% Superwash Merino
For knitting socks I use 0-2 US size needle depending on gauge and stitch.
Lace 4-7 US needle depending on gauge and stitch. These are just estimates that I have used in the past, with socks I knit using a size 0, for Lace it is far more subjective to you project.
Handwash cool water, air dry flat.
Note, this is superwash so it can go in the machine but I still prefer to hand wash for longevity. Color bleeding can be normal for hand dyed yarns. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns. Blues and reds can be difficult to completely exhaust. A good tip is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water; it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan. I always use luke warm water for my knits and handwash even if it is superwash.
All of my yarns are dyed with professional dyes for light and wash fastness. I strive to take the best pictures possible but please remember that computer screens may vary with color.
